It has worked because they have made Obama look weak. There is nothing Obama can do on his own to fix the economny and we know the repubs will not be of any help. So Obama looks weak, repubs love every minute of it, and liberals who don't see what is really going on here (or choose not too see what is going on here), bash Obama and talk about primarying him. Repubs plans has worked. They have fooled so many people, including many simple minded DUers. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! :-(
