Someone needs to tell PPP polling that the Presidential election is a year and a half away

3. PPP's entire scheme is to put out polls when nobody else is doing it

They use IVR which is both cheap and unreliable. But if the folks who cover the horse races want to talk about something as silly as how Romney might do against Obama a year and a half from now, PPP will inevitably have a poll for them to cite.
