10. No way, Rand Paul or Mike Lee will win in 2016
They have much higher Tea rating than Rubio, plus since both his parents are foreign-born, there's debate whether he's Natural Born.

29. Do you mean Rubio will win the nomination in 2016 or the presidency itself?
God I hope not. He would put this country back in the Dark Ages if it hasn't got there already.

6. I don't know but,
Looking at the field gives me hope.

I'm not thrilled about Obama, but I will vote for him.

More importantly, this field speaks to the cluelessness of the Republicans generally. Therefore it gives me hope with regard to Democratic chances in state and congressional elections.

In an attempt to directly answer the question I guess Romney is the frontrunner as of now, but he's flip flopped so much. He has the baggage of the Massachusetts health care law, the baggage of being Morman, and the same cluelessness as the rest of the Republicans.

Any thing can happen.

The Iowa caucuses are six months away. It may as well be three years as far as making predictions.

9. How about a choice
Much Too Soon to Tell.

It's possible that the eventual nominee will actually be someone on your list, but it really is far to early in the cycle to make anything more than a lucky guess.

27. Romney/Palin ticket
Half the party wouldn't vote for a corporatist Mormon, the other half wouldn't vote for a teabagging lunatic. So they'll have to pair them up to get a convincing Repuke turnout.

And then Diebold will do the rest :scared:

28. Bachmann
She is doing a great job campaigning. (NO, I don't support her. Just judging her stump skills.)

She is focusing on the right wing types who vote and who do groundwork. If they choose her en masse, as I believe they will, I think she will win the nomination.

30. Romney/Brown
That's a rumor I hear from friends in Boston, that if Romney gets the nomination, he will chose Scott Brown (R MA) as his VP because Brown, is the republican, Democrats "like". Another scenario is that if it looks really bad for the repubs (like it doesn't already?), they may think of running Scott Brown as President.

Is that even possible?

37. Romney but keep an eye on Perry if he gets in
The Republicans like to have their little rebellion but then they usually rally around the establishment, business friendly, candidate. The only thing I could see that would prevent him from getting it would be his religion and his lack of lifelong devotion to social conservatism.

Rick Perry is dangerous because he appeals both to the Christian Fundamentalists and to the Chamber of Commerce types and can tout his record of job creation in Texas.

Think of him as the Shrubster with better hair.

Obama will achieve is ultimate goal of bipartisanship and receive both party's nomination.

The Republicans will suddenly realize that no other President has delivered so much of their fantasy agenda. They'd be fools not to.
