This is interesting - Obama's Organizing for America cut staff.

I couldn't figure it out because the OFA volunteer that kept me involved last year had a curious status on her facebook page.
She was amazing. A bundle of positive energy. Giving speeches all over the state.

So I googled and found this:

The Democratic National Committees Organizing for America has started laying off staff in multiple states as the first phase of a restructuring before the official kickoff of President Barack Obamas re-election bid.

A Democratic source told Roll Call that party officials started notifying employees Sunday night and that the layoffs are mostly a handful of field staffers in some states as Democrats assess where they want to fight 2012 battlegrounds.

This is likely the first wave in a series of staff reductions as we transition for the re-elect, the Democrat said.

It was unclear how many staffers would be laid off or where they are from, but OFA had staff in all 50 states. The cuts were expected, but officials had told aides before Thanksgiving that they would all be kept on the payroll through the holiday season.

They started this at the beginning of the year. Now why on earth do you suppose they would do this????

2. Probably to save money. I'm betting they'll try to get more volunteers
to fill those positions instead, after all he wants to raise 1 billion dollars.

5. Maybe it's just as they said...focusing on other battlegrounds
If they've done the research and think they're pretty strong in some areas, they may need to compensate for more staff where they need to do more work.

7. Read more at netrightdaily? You've gotta be kidding.
I wouldn't click on a link called netrightdaily. And neither should you. But I did google it:

"NetRight Daily is a blog project of Americans for Limited Government. Right thinking. Free market."

Busted.

This is apparently a new RW meme.

Do you have any other "sources" for this information other than a wingnut website and your "friend" the "OFA volunteer"?

14. Locking -
Inappropriate source or link.

Democratic Underground permits members to posts excerpts and links from a wide variety of websites, however there are some websites which are not welcome here, including: Websites with a focus on disrupting Democratic Underground and/or smearing DU members. Websites with bigoted content, including Holocaust revisionism/denial, Jewish conspiracies, and the like. (Note: Linking to "mainstream" right-wing websites is usually permitted, provided the intent is to expose their agenda rather than agree with it.)

Thank you for understanding
