Ten Commandments judge to explore White House bid
Roy Moore, the former Alabama Supreme Court judge whose monument to the Ten Commandments gained him national attention, intends explore a presidential bid for 2012.

Moore's aide, Zachery Michael, told CNN that the two-time gubernatorial candidate hopes to file the paperwork for a presidential exploratory committee sometime in mid-April. Moore has been considering a run for the GOP presidential nomination for several months.

Michael told CNN that Moore is not the "elitist type" of politician running for president. "What sets him apart is he can connect to all Americans and has an idea of what Americans are going through. We are seeing the same types of people run and we aren't getting anywhere."

Moore, then chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court, was removed from the bench in 2003 after defying a federal judge's order to remove a monument to the Ten Commandments from the court building's rotunda. U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson ruled the monument represented an unconstitutional endorsement of religion.

9. He got his ass handed to him in local races awhile back.
Only thing he is good for would be as a spoiler in local races.
