Ed Schultz exposed Lamar Alexander's lies tonite about Japanese disaster.
Alexander said that the highest level of radiation detected onsite is 155.7 millirem per hour. Then Alexander says lets put this into perspective. The average American receives about 300 millirem of radiation exposure each year from naturally occurring sources, such as the Sun, and another 300 millirem of radiation exposure from medical applications, such as CT scans and x rays.

He apparently thinks that exposure in Japan is okay because what they receive in an hour is less than what an American receives in a year. If he really believes that he should fly over there and stay there for a year. And prove that the 155.7 millirem per hour or 3736.8 millirem per 24 hours is an acceptable level compared to the 300 an American receives in a year.

4. Alexander has been an environmentalist longer than Schultz has been an idiot...

.... ok, maybe not THAT long as Ed has, no doubt, been an idiot for quite some time.

Alexander is all kinds of evil but, compared to most in his party, when it comes to environmental issues, he's pretty granola crunchy. I can assure you he knows more about nuclear power than Crazy Eddie does.

6. He especially cares about protecting the environment (view) around his home
near the Great Smokey Mountains. He's very strong anti-development there.

Not so much elsewhere.
