Rep. Nita Lowey (D-NY): "Let's get on with the discussion of jobs" (re Protect Life Act)
Cenk interviewed Rep. Lowey, whose district includes the northern suburbs of New York City, on MSNBC today in response to the proposed Congress legislation "Protect Life Act" that would've made it optional for hospitals to perform emergency abortions and to Georgia State Rep. Bobby Franklin's attempt to modify the state criminal code to rename rape victims as "accusers". Lowey is spot on in her discussion and even called on Congress to focus on jobs (as I quoted her in the subject).

After MSNBC dismissed Keith Olbermann, Cenk's doing a pretty good job doing his own news/commentary evening show (even though it's just MSNBC Live, the title to describe general MSNBC news coverage).

Oh, now that Obama's spoken to the Chamber of Commerce (Cenk's report here - Big business is just not that into you) and called on them to help American workers, within the first 30 days of the Republican-dominated House the President has taken more initiative for job creation than the House has ever done.

1. and yet almost no one in the press is reporting....
.... I know that MSNBC has a liberal slant, but job creation (or lack of an effort thereof) is not a partisan issue.

Here's Rachel's report last night on how the GOP lead House is piddling and not doing any actual legislating.
