Poll question: As of today, I will vote for __________________ in the 2012 Presidential Election
If the election were held today who would you vote for President of the United States in 2012?

Is that an option?

9. Branding him a sellout, threatening to sit out the election, yelling "corporatist" rythmically...
walking down to the street corner and telling people that if Hillary won things would be different. That kind of thing.

I really can't tell. I think you are but the sentiment you are expressing is not uncommon on DU today.

24. Whoever is the Democratic nominee; assuming it's Barack Obama, then he has my vote
Unless there is a drastic change from his first two years of appeasement of republicans (yes, I know; not always, but far too often for my liking) and demeaning and dismissing the progressives who were such a major component of his having been elected , it will be a decidedly unenthusiastic vote. But , as always, they got us by the......and the alternative will be infinitely worse. So yes, not for a moment would I consider voting for anyone but our nominee. This of course also goes for "if the election were held today".

31. The election is two years away.
I can't vote because I don't know who I will vote for yet. No one knows what will happen in the next two years. Obama can still accomplish great things or mess things up. If the election were tomorrow then I would vote for Obama but it is premature to make a decision at this time. The only thing I know is that I will vote for somebody because I always vote in every election.

32. A serious primary opponent would weaken the Democratic party...
...to the point where we could lose the General Election. Very foolish.

The objective should be to hold Obama's feet to the fire and prevent further compromise with the rethugs.

We really have no other alternative.

It's embarrassing. It shows that we censor thought that opposes the party line. We'd be better off if this thread were simply locked.
