2. What they still believe that the deficit is caused by spending on social programs
They believe that if government cuts all social programs and safety nets while giving away tax breaks to the wealthy and increasing military spending that there would be no deficit spending, remember tea bagging republicans are not very good at math. Like how 10,000 tea bagged republicans show up at a tea bag gathering and they claim there were 25 million attendees, lack of math skills.

But it's a symptom of a sick economy and not the cause. If we had a full employment economy we would be closing the gap between spending and taxes because there would be more revenue from tax receipts.

Do you remember what the big issue of the 00 campaign was?

How to spend the surplus. Bush* and Gore were trying to outbid each other in how much money they could give away...
