1. Is the Payroll Tax holiday really a good thing?
If this is the Social Security Tax Holiday I read about earlier this week, I can't see how that will help the middle class and lower wage earners.

It will simply weaken Social Security and make it look that much closer to insolvent.

Tell me if I am wrong and that this is not the Social Security Tax.

2. But what we ALL get, Clio, is a what, $900 BILLION addition to our deficit?
A larger I.O.U to China and other mystery "benefactors"?

That's what concerns me. In a few years will we be thinking "we should have looked at the big, long-term picture"?

I'm glad I'm not sitting in the House or Senate -- This is a tough one, IMO.

3. What we got harms Social Security and what the Pubes got increases the debt.

4. The $114B, of course, is split amongst a few thousand
while the $238 billion is shared by hundreds of millions.

It's like arguing that 50 people sharing two pizzas are getting more than 2 people sharing one.

5. The payroll tax holiday belongs in the red side
Even they admitted that they were the ones to have brought it up - so puleeze stop suggesting it is a Democrat's goal. It isn't.

And this fricking LIE angers me just as much if not more than the billionaires welfare tax holiday.

Thus - on the blue side - 125 billion
on the red side - 240 billion

6. The Payroll tax holiday is the beginning of the end to Social Security.
It's what the Republicans want, not Democrats.
