Why did the Obama tax cuts for the middle class just get two years while Bush Tax cuts got 10?

Why did the Obama tax cuts for the middle class just get two years while Bush Tax cuts got 10?
If Dems wouldn't have agreed to temporary tax cut of two years for middle class to expire along with the Bush tax cuts we wouldn't even be debating this now. The Bush tax cuts would have just expired and we would have still had tax cuts for the middle class.

At this point I'm so mad about the GOP thinking they can get everything they want that I honestly wish Obama would let all the tax cuts expire rather than give into GOP blackmail.

That's why they didn't last longer.
