24 hours after getting a tad pissy, I'm still angry that we're not radicalizing.
Why aren't we protesting the Chamber of Commerce's serious intrusion into our democratic process, and their pressing for bills that support the wealthiest Americans?

Why aren't we marshaling every legal source we have to push potential court cases that could challenge the Citizens United case?

Why aren't we picketing financial institutions? Why aren't we organizing to fight for improved labor rights?

Seriously - WHERE ARE WE?

...

...

?

Oh well. I'm going to go drink a glass of wine.

4. Maybe it's time not to be lazy pussies?

BTW: Isn't there some rule about using the term "pussy" to describe weakness?

8. That language is usually a flag...

It's against the rules to accuse any specific poster of being a troll/mole, but keep in mind that we're infested with plenty of them...

3. What can realistically be done without the approval of John Boehner and John Roberts?
We couldn't even move the very modest Disclose Act through the Senate with 59 Democrats.

The Supreme Court isn't going to reverse itself, and I don't think Boehner is going to be voting on serious campaign finance reform in the next Congress.

So what are your real solutions here, 24 hours after the election?

I think it is a good political issue to push, but I don't see much short term opportunity for success at reversing it at the federal level.

5. It's not worth getting out there and making some noise?
I'm sorry, but did civil rights come to be by waiting for someone in an office to rubber stamp a bill? There's much that a swift kick to political culture can offer to garnering political attention. We need to begin to argue for liberal policies and sell them to the rest of the American people.

Is it because we're in too much personal debt? That we have too much to lose? I say, "Fuck that. Let's move."

6. After 2008, the gop had a choice to move to the center or double down on the
crazy. They moved to the crazy right and stuck to their guns until 2010 and it worked. Lies, fear, and hate work.

After 2010, dems have a choice of moving left, staying centrist (which is already to the right), or joining the crazy right. And what the DEMS are talking about is compromising with the crazy right.

The only way it makes sense is to realize that the crazy right (deregulation, elimination of departments, lower taxes for millionaires, no help for needy, privatization of large money pools like social security and medicare and education, no environmental awareness, corporate feeding frenzies) is WHERE THE MONEY IS.

9. And what about Dems or liberals who aren't in power?
Why not fight for what we believe in?

10. Give people time, they are in post-election depression.
People will snap out of it in a few weeks. After Clinton lost the House and Senate in 1994, I couldn't even watch the news.
