Another great Dem pick up opportunity in a house race
Democrat Ami Bera raised $550,000 in the third quarter of 2010, topping his GOP challenger Republican Rep. Dan Lungren.

Lungren raised $480,000.

The campaigns announced their fundraising totals today, beating an Oct. 15 deadline.

Bera's campaign said Bera has now raised a total of $2.1 million. Lungren's campaign has raised a total of $1.7 million.

The campaigns did not release their cash-on-hand totals. That information will be included in reports filed with the Federal Election Commission next week.

The third quarter ran from July 1 through Sept. 30.

The polls are also close so the financial advantage will serve the Democrat well.

4. Sometimes a slight money advantage works even better than a VASTLY overwhelming
money advantage (mostly from the standpoint that someone like Meg SATURATES the airwaves with ads to the point where people are left saying, "Jesus CHRIST, ANOTHER ad from this person?! Give it a REST!", backfiring in a way). However, the best medicine is (and always will be) a GREAT candidate that is able to get their message out there. Doesn't change the fact that Citizens United sets a DANGEROUS precedent, but money still doesn't DIRECTLY equal votes (necessarily). It's all about GOTV.
