Why did Condoleeza Rice smile all through the History Channel interviews...
...when talking about the events of September 11? What is going on with her mind? She was amused by what she remembered. She even has some pride in what they did on that day. As does Andrew Card, apparently.

If you are going to do the job I was doing, you might as well do it at a time of consequence. And this was a time of consequence.

6. It wasn't her fault. no seat #, no flight #, no names. . .
Who could have imagined . . . except Tom Clancy, who sold 17,000,000 copies of a book with that theme, except the DOD, which actually measured how much damage would occur to skyscrapers depending on fuel load and type of plane, except the State Dept's intel unit (disbanded by Dick Cheney because they were TOO accurate), except national security advisors inside and outside government, but who were studiously ignored by Team Cheney/Bush, except members of the FBI, who tried to warn their leaders in DC that some muslims of interest were practicing take offs, but did not care about landings at various Jet flying schools, except. . . .

I am SOOO glad I missed her. I would have been searching for a new TV had I seen it.

8. Thank you, I have been trying to make the same point to others
Her comment, "No one could have seen this coming", always blew my mind. Yea, no one except numerous fiction writers and other security specialist.

Her lack of action was criminal. She and the other Repugs were too busy trying to dismantle what Clinton had put in place.

9. ...except the August 6 pdb which spelled the warning out...
...along with about 60 other official warnings that Condi, Commander AWOL Bush, and Dickie 'Five-Military-Deferments' Cheney & their Republicon chickenhawk cronies IGNORED.

7. I think Ken Burch nailed it -- the Xanax must have just
kicked in. Once they titrated the dose Rice smiles more readily. There are dozens of photographs of Condoleeza Rice's snarling, scowling face.

So as long as she is med-compliant and remembers to keep filling the scripts, she's good to go for the History Channel public relations retrospectives.

She used to be a musician. A pianist. Not a bad one, either. She rose to almost the top tier of the repertoire and was said to have a knack for a Brahms Intermezzo.

I accuse her of abandoning one of the highest expressions of civilization to hobnob with one of the lowest -- the Bush administration -- and all that such an abandonment entails.

In one of Al Pacino's lawyer films, a couple of women associated with his law firm morph into demons -- hideous, soulless, heartless, menacing, and wretched. When you leave the quiet contemplation of Brahms to pursue the white noise of a human-bashing administration like the Bush-Cheney gig, you have walked away from anything in yourself that was decent and good and sustainable. And there was our Condi, crossing that ethical Rubicon in a high-speed cigarette boat.

Without the max-dose Xanax, Rice would have to confront the demon in her who too quickly spread her ego for Bush-Cheney and all their works.

11. The photo there of Rice suggests a woman who would
not think twice about poisoning an apple to give to Snow White.

And hey, if you're busy poisoning apples, who has the time to read security memos?

12. I don't know how true it is but
the message about her, during the whole time she was SOS was that she was an alocholic. It was said that the Secret Service had to gather her up around midnight and drive her home. She would get too excited about Bush calling him her husb..... not being able to get the whole name out. It was posted a lot but now it has been deleted from google, since they turned corporate republicans big big time.
