W.H. nixes receiving lines, it seems
For reporters covering President Obama, there’s only one party in town that matters: The White House Holiday Party. It’s a rare opportunity to walk around parts of the White House and meet the president and first lady. In the past, the highlight of the event has been the chance to get your picture taken with the president in the receiving line.
This year, however, the White House seems to be doing things a little differently. The invites went out late – and didn’t include journalists who have been invited in the past. And those who have been invited seem likely to be denied the traditional receiving-line photo.

It breaks my heart. It really is. Now the MSM is going to become Anti-Obama. Oh wait, they already are...

1. Now they're upset they weren't invited?!
It's like Elizabeth Hasselback complaining about the RNC invite she didn't recieve.

2. Another rumor to make the Obama's look bad

This is Politico where rumor and gossip stand in for facts. The concerted effort to post drivel as if it were confirmed is outstanding. Literally. On any given day you can see half a dozen threads on DU doing just that.

4. If you spend too much reporting news TMZ style and neglect the real issues...
Edited on Tue Dec-08-09 09:01 AM by Clio the Leo
..... it's probably not a good idea to do so BEFORE the White House Christmas party. ;)

And I hope April Ryan's "invite" gets lost in the mail.

(Seriously, a person who gets PAID to WRITE stories about the White House asked if the Salahi's had been given an "invite." Good grief.)

5. ROLF. "Didn't include journos who were included in the past."
Call the WAMBULANCE, Politico wasn't invited to the WH Holiday party. Gee, I can't imagine why not.

6. How about "journalists" do their freaking job
instead of wringing their hands over some damn party? And not just Poilitico - I'm sure the MSM will be hopping on this one in no time.
