Who remembers the debate about the first Bush taxcuts?

Remember how they had to compromise with a few Democrats to get their taxcuts for the wealthy. The Democrats insisted on some tax cuts for the poor and middle class also, before they would agree to go along. Remember? And now, those are the taxcuts the Dems want to keep as they debate on whether or not to extend.
