6. So I got it wrong too
What we learned:
We're basically a bunch of old farts who can talk about 30 years ago as though it was yesterday. HaHa

3. 1974? 24 years ago?
OMG, what a relief to discover that Bill Clinton is still President! You wouldn't believe the wild dream I just had. In my dream I thought it was 2010 and George Bush's idiot son, the governor of Texas had stolen the Presidency twice, and we were in wars all over the Middle East, and after the Bush kid we had elected a black guy nobody ever heard of to the White House and we were in a depression, and...

But enough of that crazy fantasy.

11. Don't want to be all, like, "I told you so" but let me just point out that I'd been demanding
his resignation for years, and everybody was, like, rolling their eyes and saying yeah yeah and patting my little head and generally not taking me seriously

It was, like, a really long time ago, and I'm completely over it now, of course :)

But let me just pause for a moment here to politely say pbfth! to all you rightwing halfwits who thought that crummy loser was a hero and who supported the crooked scumbag no matter what, through thick and thin

12. His daughter Julie supported Obama in 2008,
so at least one of them turned out alright in spite of their criminal father.

His brother Ed is a right-winger though. "You need a BS decoder ring to truly understand {Obama}." :eyes:

13. His daughter is my parent's age. Seems like a decent person
as does Eisenhower's daughter Susan. Too bad my own parents think tricky Dick shouldn't have resigned.

14. Ahh a few short months to that anniversary where I signed up which makes it 16 years since I retired
On another note what really happened in the whole Watergate affair?
Some suggest Tricky Dick was to Progressive for the likes of the real powers that run this country, into the ground that is.
Read the book in my sig line to understand better.

Ah to remember being 18 again!
