1. Look, here at DU I've seen lots of calls to "unfreep this poll"
So we do this ourselves.

Freeping or unfreeping an unscientific poll is a fact. The problems is that the people who put up these polls actually use the poll as data in stories with the fig leaf that they are unscientific. What I thought was interesting, as I read the story, Dig was created to allow freeping, apparently so they could use it in conservative narrative creation.

The pendulum swings both ways. It even happens here. Attempting to portray greater numbers that there actually is (gaming the system) isn't reserved only for conservatives. Progressives do it quite a bit too. In the end its probably a wash and everything balances out.
