Pat Buchanan: Obama (Gonna be on The View) should keep the divide from the people.
He said this on MSNBC just now. Obama is planning on being on The View. Which is Obama starting on the campaign for November. 100 days does matter. However, they interviewed Pat Buchanan and a Dem Senator of Texas on this topic.

Pat Buchanan says Obama is losing popularity, plus he needs to keep the space between the "dignified" seat of the Presidency and the people. When asked if he found The View to be undignified he says He shouldn't be putting himself out there to the People.

This is interesting. Dems believe Obama needs more air time on prime time (or some do---but we're not in Venezuela and he's not Chavez---we don't have our own national station for the government). However he's trying to get closer to the people and the Repubs seem to want him to keep away. Which makes no sense since we want a President who's involved or seems as much.

1. How dare the President try to get close to the public!
Pat Buchanan needs to retire already. He has nothing new to say.

3. Subtext
what Buchanan is really saying is that he doesn't want Obama on the View because it might actually make people think more positively about him. The only politicians who should go on the View are Right Wing Partisan Hacks because that's the propoganda Buchanan wants to see disseminated.

8. MSNBC did a bumper today, "Obama will be on 'The View' Is this a good idead?"
lol .... NO! He should STAY away from the WalMart moms!!! :sarcasm:

It's a BAD idea for NBC as the View is, I believe, an ABC syndicated show.

:puke:

And here's a little something for MSNBC for thinking this narrow-minded bigot deserves airtime . . . :puke:

11. Pat's been reading too much Henry IV
Had I so lavish of my presence been,
So common-hackney'd in the eyes of men,
So stale and cheap to vulgar company,
Opinion, that did help me to the crown,
Had still kept loyal to possession
And left me in reputeless banishment,
A fellow of no mark nor likelihood.
By being seldom seen, I could not stir
But like a comet I was wonder'd at;
That men would tell their children 'This is he;'
Others would say 'Where, which is Bolingbroke?'
And then I stole all courtesy from heaven,
And dress'd myself in such humility
That I did pluck allegiance from men's hearts,
Loud shouts and salutations from their mouths,
Even in the presence of the crowned king.
Thus did I keep my person fresh and new;
My presence, like a robe pontifical,
Ne'er seen but wonder'd at: and so my state,
Seldom but sumptuous, showed like a feast
And won by rareness such solemnity.
