Awesome Models For How To Knock The Wind Out Of The RePUKES In November
Edited on Sun Jul-11-10 04:32 PM by RBInMaine
No way in all hell should there be ANY dooming and glooming among Dems. We have great OPPORTUNITIES for the fall. Here are some reasons why:

1) Bill Owens took the upstate New York special election last Nov. from a guy who had HUNDREDS of TeaIdiots from all over the country helping him. It was the first time a Dem has held that seat since about the Civil War. (The moderate Republican was forced out, and the TeaPartier was forced in on that side, remember?) Owens campaigned well, and moderates and progressives joined forces to take down the TeaIdiot.

2) Mark Critz recently won the special election in PA handily in a very socially conservative district. The GOBP and the TeaIdiots again invested heavily in this. They wanted it so bad they could taste it. Critz with help from the unions ran mainly on jobs and what is best for workers. He also ATTACKED the RePUKE as a job outsourcer. GREAT POPULIST LINE OF ATTACK THAT RESONATED WELL.

3) Tarryl Clark in Bachman-The-Whackjob's district is going full tilt attacking the hell out of that batshit dingbat and has a real shot at FLIPPING that seat. She has great energy, is attacking Bachman left and right, and talking about taking care of her own. She has raised 2 million bucks from 24,000 donors. THAT IS HOW YOU DO IT.

4) Harry Reid's campaign is attacking Angle the Western Whacko good and hard. They've even re-posted the nutty TeaIdiot website she first had up. He isn't letting this whacko get off light at all. She's NUTS !

5) Jack Conway is pounding away on the TeaNut Rand Paul in KY. Polls have them 50/50 at this time.

6) Robin Carnahan is using Roy Blunt for a punching bag in MO. Her mantra is that he is "FULL OF BULL" and she is attacking him as the ultimate lobbyist-owned insider that he is. She is even attacking the hell out of him on THE DEFICIT. She's GREAT !

7) Boxer in CA is out there boxing the ears of her asshat opponent, the outsourcer Fiorina who has to resort to insulting Boxer about her hair.

8) Up here in Maine, we have TeaWhackos running for Governor and both of our congressional seats. We are pounding on them as the whackos that they are.

We have a chance to FLIP seats currently held by some GOBPers because MANY people are simply "angry at Washington." Yes, it is ALWAYS a challenge for the sitting majority party during midterms, especially in recession cycles. And people tend to cast protest votes regardless of party, which is what happened in MA and NJ last November. But, in our favor we have many good accomplishments, good candidates, and a forward-looking agenda. The RePUKES offer an old hat backwards agenda of returning to massive tax cuts for the rich and massive deregulation. Nothing else. We also have them on record as record-breaking obstructionists. We also have the fact they the GOBP has aligned so closely with the TeaWhackos which moderate Indies don't like.

All we have to do is be very clear about the choice (forward vs. backward), attack the hell out of them, and then do a good GOTV job to get our voters to the polls. Do that, and we'll be ok in November. So please folks, just get out there, write letters to the editor and volunteer at your local campaign office. It works. Just ask Bill Owens and Mark Critz.

1. I think we have to prepare for the worst and hope for the best
so I would like to work like every seat in Congress will go GOP, even if that's not the case

5. One wrench in the works is the media. They can bias an election if they want to.
I've seen quite a few articles so far predicting large losses for the Dems and glorifying the conservatives.

The alternate view is, as usual, somewhat sparsely advocated.

On the positive side, there may be more balanced articles in this election than in some previous ones,
mainly because the GOP have been such open mouthed asses recently that it's hard to ignore.

6. We have some corageous candidates - its time to join the fight.
Fighting against the republicans and the msm may be an uphill battle, but we can help. Make calls, knock on doors, give what you can when you can and help turn this tide of craziness. There is no way America becomes a better place if the tea baggers gain power.

8. Yes! If we work hard and brand the GOBP as the pro-corporate TeaIdiots that they are, we WIN.

The Democratic party structure went to shit under Rendell & McUseless. It went back to shit under Kaine.

This party has had only one true LEADER in decades, and we need him now more than ever......
