Major Garrett knew the Sestak question would make him look like a total
asswipe but he had no choice. Because Fox had made it such a HUGE issue and an impeachable offense to boot, he was INSTRUCTED to ask the question when (and if) called upon. He therefore PRAYED that somebody else would ask the question first. Did you notice that Garrett's face was all red and bloated and his voice was kind of “oh shit”?

NOBODY ELSE ASKED THE QUESTION and The President (shrewd and calculating bastard that he is) KNEW IT. I don’t believe he planned to call on Fox AT ALL unless he had to. He WANTED the question to be asked and was clearly prepared with a short and sweet (and dismissive) answer.

That’s why he waited until the end of the presser and took the LAST question from Fox.

That’s what I think.

2. If somebody else had asked the question, I wonder if the President would have called on fox at all.

4. Hey I wonder why.....
FOX did not ask Bush the same question when he was president and offered a job to a politician in order to get him to stay out of the race. Why was that instance not an impeachable offense....Oh that's right....it's a repub who did it so all is okay in FOX world.

5. The take away from Fox after the briefing was about immigration...
... I'm not disagreeing w/you, just using your OP to post this tidbit.

I recorded Fox because I wanted to know what they'd say ... they talked very briefly about the oil spill. It was as if it was a side item ... the news model in question kept trying to get her guests to say that the President SHOULD have spoken against the boycott of AZ.

Egads.

6. it was calculated to keep the msm stirred up
Fox probably thought that if the pack hounds were satisfied with the presser they would move on. So they floated the Sestak question to make sure it was another controversy to sabotage the president.
