Phuyck News Sunday: Brit Hume is a blowhard
On the oil spill he focused on needing to wait and see before we know for sure. On whether it will be the largest. On whether it will have an effect on the environment. Preferring to agree with Windbag that the Ocean can handle the oil spill.

1. The Gulf of Mexico is not an ocean. #1.
The Gulf is home to a lot of wildlife. Fish populations that feed the world. Amusement from the beaches that provides a lot of money from around the world to be infused into the Gulf Coast States. It is a basin... An oscillating basin. When the oil reaches the coral reefs, the reefs will be dead. When the oil reaches the Atlantic, the current will sweep it around to the east coast beaches and eventually make its way to Europe. There is no plausible idea when or how the volcano of oil will be stopped at this time. Its been spewing for a month now. This gusher should never have been created. If there wasn't the technology to deal with the worst case scenario such as this in place, then the drilling should have NEVER been authorized.

2. He sold out his own son who later committed suicide...

Why would you think he would not sell out all of America to his corporatist cronies vis-a-vis our environment?

I've occasionally repeated my personal story of Hume that I think says it all. In DC, near the Mayflower Hotel, I encountered him walking towards me, but about a block away. At the time he was with ABC and I vaguely recognized him, though I didn't know exactly who he was. Halfway between us a $$ bill of some kind (currency) blew across the sidewalk and I saw the homeless woman with kids who had been panhandling on the sidewalk move towards it. Thinking "good, she needs it," I sort of slowed down to allow her to grab it. At the same time, Hume coming from the other direction sped up and managed to grab it, as it was closer to him. Never once gave a thought to the distressed woman. That is Brit Hume. :eyes:
