MSNBC is reporting that AP says WH has has told them that the plan is to begin troop WITHDRAWL by July of 2011.

Now THAT makes more sense.

Still great news. We'll be getting our boys out this in 1.5 years--that's pretty fast to me. That still means O is ending two wars and that's a pretty fast removal if you ask me. I mean really fast.

Still, you're right. This is really great news. The only thing i am worried about is that it starts in 1.5 years, not ends in 1.5. Hope you don't mind my concern, but I am a pacifist and a CO, and I've already lived through a potentially great democratic presidency and real reform utterly derailed by a terrible war. Still, I too am waiting for the official word. This is far more hopeful than anything i have heard in days.

I think it's to do with the deployment schedules or something within the military. I believe people were saying Rachel was talking about it...however that was when the wrong date was listed. So this is actually the way it's supposed to go. Apparently it can't be rushed any faster or something. But we'll see tonight.
