They can cheat, lie, yell, protest, run ads, lobby, hate radio, Beck/Hannity/Faux News the hell out of themselves, it is not working. The American people support this President no matter what Mitch McConnell/Boner/Failin...etc. do or say!!!

Here are the latest from various sources:

Broad Support for Obama's Financial Reform:

65% say YES! (We can) For the President's plan, 31% say no.

Public trust the President over Republicans on this issue: 52% to 35%!!!

Take that Pukes!

http://thepage.time.com/2010/04/26/poll-broad-support-for-financial-reform/

Here is the latest (today's) from the Gallup:

Approve 51% (+1)
Disapprove 42% (-1)

http://www.gallup.com/Home.aspx

The mother fuckers Republicans can keep bitching about things!!! Not working...

Then Mark Halprin of Time Magazine publishes this! About how the President is getting shit done!!!

http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1984460,00.html

Who's side is the momentum on now Media? What party has all the energy now?

During the 1st quarter:

Our DNC outrised their RNC!
Our DCCC outrised their RCCC!
Our DSCC outrised their RSCC!

November can't come fast enough as far as I am concerned!

See you at the polls Teahadists! Looks like some more Pukes will be looking for new jobs in 2011!

When Nov. is not the bloodbath for Dems that you are predicting you will either;

1. claim you never said it would be, or

2. slink away and never be heard from again and/or create a sock poppet that will spout the same vile crap and it will be obvious to everyone who you really are because you're really not creative or intelligent enough to pull that off properly.

29. No, all GOPers are vile. That's a given. However, not every democrat holds values that
primarily concern "The working American" before "the super-rich and investor classes."

That is, there are "democratic" legislators who would have fit in nicely with the moderate republicans of the 1970s.

I don't think we need to "foam at the mouth" about the GOP - they are digging their own graves ...

IF ONLY WE'D STAND FOR SOMETHING PROGRESSIVE? If not, people will switch over and vote republican.

Why? We don't stand for anything save for a softer version of corporatism. :(

46. But being sharper than the GOP is one big "given." There's no need to exaggerate
how AWESOME we are. Instead, we need to push our present leaders to DO more.

Pride goeth before the fall. Let's make our democratic leaders do their damn jobs and pass true PROGRESSIVE legislations.

I, for one, would like to PRIMARY many corporate democrats out of the party.

Instead of being "a fan site" we should not deny that there are many liberal democrats such as myself feeling very disenfranchised, if not blatantly unwelcome?

11. Most predictions I have seen say that the GOP will pick up seats in November.
Edited on Mon Apr-26-10 01:42 PM by totodeinhere
What about this?

http://www.centerforpolitics.org/crystalball/

Larry Sabato is predicting that the GOP will pick up 7 Senate Seats and 27 House seats.

And I would not dismiss his predictions. He has had a very good track record in the past.

In August 2006, Sabato's Crystal Ball predicted that the Democrats would gain 29 seats in the House of Representatives and 6 seats in the Senate, providing them with a majority in both chambers. Sabato's predictions proved correct: each of his 33 Senate predictions were accurate, and in the House, Democrats gained 29 seats on election night, the precise total predicted by the Crystal Ball (Democrats would go on to pick up a 30th seat in the December 12, 2006 run-off in Texas' 23rd district).

we are currently in late April.

Larry Sabato looks and is a RWer far as I can tell,
and of course, with the media getting their GOP marching orders
at some point, he will be accurate possibly in late August,
but we are not there yet.

33. Just because he predicts Dem losses in November doesn't mean he is a right winger.
He is a highly respected non partisan professor of political science. What evidence do you have to show that he is a right winger? You shouldn't make accusations like that if you can't back them up. And even if he were a right winger, as I mentioned previously, his predictions in the past have been uncannily accurate.

Yes, of course, his predictions are for what would happen if the election were held today. Yes, a lot can change before November. But at least these predictions should give us some pause. The OP writes as if a Dem victory is November is a forgone conclusion. That reminds me of people saying in this forum that Brown didn't have a chance to win the Mass senatorial election, but we all know how that turned out. I hope the OP is right, but I wouldn't necessarily count on it. I would much rather be seeing a prediction that if the election were held today the Dems would pick up seats. Wouldn't you?

25. I like to hear good news but....
How many states are like ours....I'm talking about Tennessee Voting machines....We Voted for and the Govornor signed this bill into law, we were switching machines to one that has a paper trail in 2008 Republicans took control of the State, they decided we were not going to get the new machines first it was because of cost, but the State had set enogh money aside to pay for them, install, and train people on them. They called a special session of the legislature and some Dems voted with them.....thus no new machines...Then too since the Republicans became top dog..every County's Election Commisioner let go and Republicans were hired. Then they began purging the voter lists. They also sent out new voter registration cards....but many did not get them..I'm just sick...

obama is slightly more transparent than any of his predecessors but he has been unable to resist, like all others, the reach of corporate influence.

also his pragmatism and political self preservation instincts keep him lurching right.

i guess he has no choice as effective as the right wing echo chamber has been in the last few yrs to infiltrate news media, cable media, radio in addition to its stronghold in the corporate world.

unfortunately university is the last great bastion of liberalism....i want to go back to school
