Republicans purposely promote stalemate and gridlock in order to
increase the contempt of the American people about the political process.

They know that, all things being equal, a lower turnout benefits the republican candidate in any election. They have branded themselves as the party of small government while they have increased the scope of federal intrusion into the personal lives of American citizens.

It's really a brilliant approach, always portrayed as the outsider, hating government. But given the chance to pad the pockets of their cronies they will take in a heartbeat and claim, if discovered, that just shows you how bad big government is. Trust the private sector to do it better and cheaper...

The Republican Party is a scam of monumental proportion.

I wonder if the RICO laws could be used to break up their syndicate?

wishful thinking.

1. I HOPE we can convince the Dems to get off their collective
butts and vote this year! I wish I could help but I live in Ga, There's not even a Dem runnung for Deal's vacant seat in the House! U can;t go to my neighbors because they're all Pubbies! If anything, I will try to downplay the election so they'll stay home! When I think about it, I get really depressed!

znow our legislature want's to copycat AZ. and demand Obama produce a real birth cert. to gt on our ballot in 2012! Even my husband said this place is getting to be a reall hell hole!

aren't they. And whenever they finally get the reins back, they can blame the past on the Dems who were in power, even though they willfully created the negative environment in the first place. Yep, brilliant and dastardly.

4. Back in 1977-79 when I worked for the Democrats in the Ohio House...
I saw the GOP as a party that was interested in being apart of the solutions. Even though the two sides didn't see eye to eye on a lot of issues, they could still hammer out compromises that benefited the whole state.

After the 1980 presidential election, all bets were off.

5. As P. J. O'Rourke said....
"The Republicans are the party that says government doesn't work and then they get elected and prove it."
