Every Democrat or Progressive I know is in a slow burn about teabaggers, the Palin crowd and the
republicans stalling of legislation. A few more months of this crap and the Democrats will be fired up more than the republicans. A lot of us are totally ready to vote now. Assholes like Santorum in PA gets our blood boiling.

1. True, the teabaggers may actually benefit the Democrats ...
they may split the Republican party and enable Obama to win a second term.

3. the party of NO might be in for a surprise come November!
Especially if Dems manage to get the fact that Repubs said NO to Medicare; Medicaid; Social Security; AND Civil Rights - before they said NO to Health Care Reform.

Get the word out!

5. That's because we have a brain
When all you have is reaction, that's all you get. When we get angry, it will be well founded and not knee-jerk.

:D

10. The question is, does enough of the rest of the country have a brain?
If not, they should Get a Brain! Morans.

6. That's what the Right Wingers get when they unleash the Tea Baggers--chaos and disgust.
They thought the revolution would be televised, but it ended up revealing more than the conservatives wanted. Much to their chagrin, the Teabaggers gave the world not a "grass roots" vision of themselves; instead, they appeared like "brown shirts"--especially after their attack of several congresspersons. Their lack of remorse is shocking and distasteful. Their racism is rather appalling and unrepentant.

The pictures in the press tell it all. The lens of the camera presents a group of people with their signs, their lack of civility and their bullying in freakish glory. In a stew of revulsion, the viewers watch as the Teabag rallies become events in which a particular type of mono-cultural fascism is trying to force its way down the throat of the American citizen with the media's blessing.

The members of the right wing "grass roots movement" soak up the limelight and act as bad as they want to be.

However, their behavior in front of the camera as well as in political circles has a price: overkill. It's not just the Dems that are getting sick of these hypocrites as they continue to mindlessly preach their untruths to the world at large; the Teabaggers' appearances mirroring the all-white crowds during the Civil Rights Era convey to the average viewer an ugly glimpse into the past that America does not want to return. Add the Tea Queen herself, Sarah Palin, into the mix and what do you get?

America's worst nightmare.

If this doesn't compel the Dems to fight, I don't know what will.

7. Except for me.
Edited on Sun Apr-18-10 09:09 PM by LWolf
I find them ludicrous, irritating, and useless.

What gets me in a slow burn is Democrats who act like republicans, and I won't be voting for any in November.

My votes will go to candidates to the left of the DLC.

9. If they
really had a brain and wanted to have some reasonable chance of gains this fall they would reverse course and start cooperating to move legislation along, but they are not smart enough to figure that out...

11. I know my hackles have been raised.
There's a reason the enthusiasm gap closed after the healthcare debate--Democrats woke the fuck up.

12. conservatives also hate them
i work with a lot of good american people who consider themselves "true conservatives"
most admit voting GOP because the GOP candidate is "the lesser of two evils"
at this time i will report that:
they feel left out by the GOP
they are angry the agenda of the GOP is fundamentalist christian operated
they had hopes the tea party movement would bring the GOP back to its conservative roots but now feel it was hijacked by some of the very people it was meant to target
they feel the GOP in office now is disrespectful of its constitutional duties and that by not voting they have no record on which to run

all in all a very disappointed lot
