World's most dangerous hairdresser's nominee for SCOTUS
Edited on Sun Apr-11-10 06:41 AM by TexasProgresive
Juanita Jean Herownself sez:

You will not be shocked to know that Juanita has a suggestion for a replacement for Justice John Paul Stevens.

“First of all, it has to be woman,” she begins. “Don’t even start with that whole ‘oh, two women in a row’ crapola. Nobody ever complains when we have two men in a row do anything.”

“Next, it has to be a liberal. I’m not talking a nice moderate-type woman like Judge Sotomayor. I’m talking a knee-jerk, bleeding-heart, Palin-slappin’ witch liberal. I’m talking somebody who’ll say, “Okay, so you boys wanted a corporation to be a person? That’s cool, Baby. Now start pouring the cement because Massey Energy is going to jail for negligent homicide.”

“Look, the Hatemongers are going to object to anyone who Obama appoints. The way I see it, we might as well get our money’s worth,” Juanita says with conviction and bright red lipstick.

“I want a liberal female who will make Rush Limbaugh’s head explode and then stand over him with a switch until he cleans up the mess,” she says.

“I want Hillary Clinton.”

1. I was with her right up to the "Hillary Clinton" part.
I'm not sure she fits the description. That's all.

9. Agreed. But she is right that
we need a real, left-leaning, ass-kicking LIBERAL woman who will make the wingnuts' heads explode. And since they'll object to whomever Obama nominates anyway, we should "get our money's worth."

2. Hillary Unplugged
I think once Hillary is free of political considerations, she will come into her own. I agree with those who say she's a political animal first. However, freeing her from that will make her a rabid liberal. I agree with Juanita on this one.

4. Welcome to DU!
However, before she was heavily involved in politics, she sat on Wal-Mart's board. That's not exactly the position of a rabid liberal. The confirmation process would also become an incendiary flame-out and potentially take up to a year.

There are plenty of liberal women within the Democratic party who don't have the profile or baggage, and who could quickly slip through the confirmation hearing with much less acrimony. Stevens won't be around forever, and I can only imagine the shit that might come up for decision with an eight-member court consisting of four Republicans and no swing vote.

3. First she says "knee-jerk, bleeding-heart, Palin-slappin’ witch liberal", then she says
"Hillary Clinton". She needs to decide which she wants.

8. If she really wants to see Rush's head explode, Hillary would be a perfect choice.

5. Juanita is going to be disappointed.
Hillary is not in the running, according to a statement released by the WH.

7. Agreed
I think Secretary Clinton is quite moderate, actually. But, I wouldn't mind seeing her as a supreme court justice. I actually hope she's looking at the White House going...whew, that was close. Thank goodness I missed that one.
