A President to be proud of
Sure we all have some gripes about various parts of his policies, but while watching President Obama speak just now in South Carolina, I was struck by the obvious contrast with our previous president. A huge difference. We have a president who is intelligent, (a contrast to be sure), a president who can think on his feet, a president who doesn't have to have a hand picked audience, and so many more contrasts with bush, who used to make me cringe with international embarrassment.
We now have a president to be proud of.

1. Exactly. And we are still early in his presidency. He still has a lot
of work to do, and he knows it, and he's the polar opposite of "slacker".

2. So why is Obama protecting his criminal predessors AND carrying out so many of their politicies?
Yup, that's really something to be proud of. NOT.

3. I had the same feeling as I watched him

He has a clear vision of where he wants us to go and a total grasp of all the intricacies of policy and reality. It is such a contrast from the shallowness and empty platitudes of his predecessor. I also felt really proud.

4. He spoke in North Carolina. But I agree with the rest of your post.

5. "International embarrassment," too funny
but not really. I hate the thought and the sight of that monster.

It is a pleasure watching our president take on the whole republican party in a debate and give such "pretty speeches," as some say :sarcasm:

6. I completely agree.
Considering the colossal clusterfuck he was handed, I'd say he's doing better than expected, though there are some who will continue to offer their non-constructive criticism from the comfort of their computer chairs while he works his ass off for a mostly apathetic populace.

7. There's More To Being President Than Fancy Speechifyin'
Being proud of your president for being able to string a sentence together is setting the bar EXTREMEY low.

8. "Fancy speechifyin'" was not all he did/does. He was answering questions with great detail

9. Actually that would be a good slogan for his re-election "a president you can be proud of"
