Tea Party President was on Letterman tonite

She was very guarded about her opinions. I think she was scared of making a fool of herself. She suggested that she chose to be an American even though it was her parents that brought her over when she was 11 years old.

Letterman was very courteous towards her. I'm thinking he wasn't going to dare probe too hard with her. My feeling is that Letterman was thinking what a ditz! Probably a good idea to not ridicule her because then she remains their leader and remain ineffective.

2. She did indicate roundabout that she didn't think Obama was a natural born citizen.

I had the idea that the audience were snickering more than laughing during the interview.

3. Did they pan to Letterman's face when she roundabouted it?

I saw in another forum that she was oh so worried about Pres Obama's missing high school papers, too.:cry:

5. he was asking her about it, if people who didn't believe he was born here

were in the tea party or a fringe group, something like that.
She said some of them have trouble believing it and he asked why since he was born here and she did go on to talk about papers. She said well she wondered why he spent so much money keeping his school records secret. Dave said he didn't wonder about that because he didn't think it was true. She said she'd be glad to learn if that was true.

Of course I am paraphrasing everything.

I wondered who she was, turned it on later in interview.

Why do people have them on? I think I saw one on 3 shows today.
Oh and she REALLY REALLY likes Jim DeMint ... praised his beliefs and character or something and when Dave talked about them needing a charismatic leader at some time she said they have Jim DeMint. Oh she said she likes palin too, doesn't know her well enough but like what she has seen.

When she said we have to stop demonizing business (or something) the audience clapped. I never wanted them to clap

He has the entire interview on his site.Dave was way too polite but to be fair,this lady was pretty well spoken and seemed rather tame compared to other Tea Party nuts. I wish Dave would have asked her about the violence the Tea Party seems to promote and asked her some harder questions.
