Is there anything on manadatory fees in the bill?
My in-laws are wingnuts (fortunately, my wife escaped their idiocy). Last night they were going on and on about some $1,500 annual fee all Americans will have to pay in their paycheck.

1. Never heard of that.

It's probably something they read in a right-wing e-mail. When they say things like that, ask them where they got their information.

3. Something Glenn Beck probably told them. I told my conservative parents to read the bill online.
That shut them up.

4. I have a question.
Were your in-laws against this health care bill passing?

6. What do you think?
Of course. They told my wife this evening it was mandatory for long term care insurance and that everyone had to pay it. All I could find is this blog talking about it:

http://longtermcareinsuranceinfo.blogspot.com/2009/11/health-care-bill-contains-long-term.html

However, I have not been able to find anything in a reputable news source.

5. The word fine could only be found within the word define or defined.
1,500 could only be found as a number identifying discharges but not as a dollar amount.

You could tell them that if their employer provides health insurance they keep their insurance. If they pay for part of the coverage they probably will end up paying less in their share of the premiums just as the employer will be paying less.

7. BS, if they want to complain tell them to show you the part of the bill that has said
provision.
