Retired Judge Pfeiffer may run for Patrick Kennedy’s House seat
Retired Superior Court Judge Mark Pfeiffer is mulling a possible Republican run for the 1st Congressional District seat opened by Democrat Patrick J. Kennedy’s decision not to seek reelection.

Pfeiffer, 61, served on the court from October 1988 until March 2009, when he retired with a $123,490-a-year pension, equal to 75 percent of his pay when he left.

Over the weekend, Pfeiffer confirmed that he is “evaluating a possible run for that seat,” and more specifically, “whether at this point in time I can put together the fundraising, the organization I would need to have a viable race.” He anticipated making that decision “within the next few days.”
