So, let's look at the list. What's next?
Stimulus bill to get things turned around (imperfect but a start) - check.
HCR (imperfect but a start) - check.

The dream next items on the "to do" list:

Drive toward full equality
Education - stop the slide, stop leaving children behind
HCR - tweaking and improving
Getting us up to speed in technology - internet speed, maintaining full access
Put people to work ensuring our crumbling infrastructure is fixed

What else?

I am liking this president, and this presidency.

7. Jobs should be the no. 1 priority
Entirely too many people out of work. The Democrats must have some sort of jobs creation bill which will insure that workers are paid good wages and that American jobs stay in America.

on coal burning power plants, promote wind and other clean energy. Pass legislation to overturn this "corporations have same rights as individuals" supreme court hokum.

10. And what are we doing?
Stimulus bill to get things turned around (imperfect but a start) - check.

Haven't even spent half the cash yet.

HCR (imperfect but a start) - check.

HIR to be exact.

The dream next items on the "to do" list:

Drive toward full equality

We're studying that don't ya know. Don't wanna move to fast. Might get
around to it next year. Unless you mean DOMA, we ain't gonna do that.

Education - stop the slide, stop leaving children behind

Apparently we're starting by firing all the teachers and busting unions.

HCR - tweaking and improving

Dream land. They're done with that for the better part of a decade. We'll
see if the senate can even pass the "fixes". (Don't ya love a bill that
is so bad they have to fix it before it even get's passed? Who wrote
this thing? Toyota?)

Getting us up to speed in technology - internet speed, maintaining full access

Right after we give full immunity to the telecoms. What? Oh, "check"!

people to work ensuring our crumbling infrastructure is fixed

I thought that was what the stimulus was about?

12. Financial reform, Climate Change and Immigration are the three big
things that need to be done next.

On your lists, you can put (imperfect, but a start) - check on two more of your items -

Getting us up to speed in technology - internet speed, maintaining full access and

On the internet, there was considerable money in the stimulus and in the budget. (Here is a link to one of the projects - http://www.capecodonline.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20100305/OPINION/3050320/-1/NEWSMAP (Now as this is a local article, it speaks of just one of several projects.)

Put people to work ensuring our crumbling infrastructure is fixed - Again, the stimulus had a major high speed rail project and I can't think of anywhere I drove for more than an hour last summer where there was not major road and bridge repairs - with signs that it was funded by the stimulus (they say the official name). This was in NJ, NY, VT - to name a few places where I am 100% sure of it.

13. You think there's any political capital left for anything else?
I think the toothpaste tube got squeezed dry for this last gasp. The only thing that has a chance of surviving fillibusters in the Senate is a jobs program with heavy tax cuts.
