This obituary/death watch style of coverage of Bill Clinton is f'ing sickening. . .

1. Well, at least they haven't gone back to get an interview from that hateful pastor that prays for
people to die.

would be for you to turn of your tv if you're so irritated.

3. He didn't have an appointment. He experienced heart pains and was taken
to the hospital - wheeled in on a gurney. Granted, the procedure is common, but they decided to do it as a result of the pains indicating he needed the arteries cleared.

Where did you get the idea he had an appointment to have this procedure done?

Also, the NBC affiliate in Washington DC is reporting that he was feeling some discomfort made and appointment for a few days ago, but put it off because of the snow.

8. I think it might be a mix of the two, then, because it was a 'rush' job to the
hospital.

Dr. Nancy said that any heart patient who just feels BAD needs to see the doctor -- that sounds like what may have happened and he made the appointment? But the pains today may have necessitated the procedure today.

More stuff is still coming in.

I agree, it's overkill at this point -- they have all his old friends and co-workers on the phone, as though he DID die!

When CNN said "we're now receiving confirmation..." I have to admit I was going "oh no!" but it was then they confirmed that he'd been taken in because of experiencing the pains.

4. I feel like this is almost the media eulogizing him. Yes, I understand
it was sudden, but the stent procedure has also been described as commonplace.

6. Thank you! They're acting as if he's dead! Non-stop coverage, asking every guest what they like
about him, etc. I really don't get it.

10. Absolutely right
My lady talked to her niece tonight, who works there. It turns out that all the staff was warned at least two days ago to expect tight security on Thursday and Friday.

I guess the staff kept a tight-lipped attitude about it, the niece didn't mention anything to my lady (they spent a few hours together today) until they talked on the telephone after I mentioned the news.

14. They did the same thing for Ted Kennedy,
and in the end, they help give his seat away to a Republican asshat....

So the media never impresses me with their gushing coverage.

Wish they'd act like news stations instead.

PS. Get well Big Dawg, cause you're one of ours, and we need you!

Stop being gluttons for punishment.

Remember, these are the same channels that covered "balloon boy" instead of real news.

not that I'd watch the news assholes, anyway.

's far as I know, Clinton had a fairly routine procedure done after complaining of chest discomfort.

End of story.

23. Well, let's hope he doesn't die (for many reasons) now. MSM
will certainly look culpable.

Have never witnessed such over-the-top coverage of anything like this ever before. It was almost eerie...in the Twilight Zone sense. :tinfoilhat:

But he has been hanging out in "the Bushes" again.......that's enough to break any heart. :(
