In the end, no matter how far Obama turns to the right, I know he is the only game in town
I thought Bill Clinton was gonna be this great leftie, and was so disappointed by him that I voted for Nader in 1996 and 2000.
It would not surprise me if Obama goes further to the right of Clinton.
But in the end, we will have a choice of a right wing republican, or Obama.
I am sure I will stand with Obama.
I just don't see as many trips down to PA from NY to GOTV in the swing state.
I hope he can win without the grassroots base, cause I think there will be less roots then he had in 2008.

1. If you are right that the grassroots base won't be there for him, is it because they are racists?

2. I think there will be at least a partial split between supporters
some will rally to the lesser of two evils
some will sit it out, more or less

3. So in the end we can have this right wing administration
or that right wing administration.

No choice is being made and people still think their vote matters.

6. You can have a right wing administration or you can have
the exact opposite: Military Lifts Ban on Emergency Contraception

But keep pretending there is no difference.

Personally, the "Dems = Repubs" ia a tired, lame meme used by people to cover for incessant complaining.

8. And in an alternate universe, people actually believe what their eyes and ears tell them.
I don't argue with total partisans, it's like talking to cement.

9. "I don't argue with total partisans, it's like talking to cement." Yeah,
someone so bitter they spend all their time complaining is the perfect person to charge others with being partisan.

You may not know this, but your bitter depressing views aren't the norm.

13. Some people think they're kewl
because they have nothing good to say about the President. Yeah, it's really intelligent to be an obsessive whiner. It's also a sign of brilliance when kewl people attribute intelligence to cement.

Kewl!

fuckedupness he inherited, and also trying to make things better?

Yea, what a loser. :eyes:

I'm happy and hope you are also after the next couple of years.

but make th calculation of what we prefer. Yeah, this may not be what I'd hope for but the Republicans are all set for high octane corporatism if they even get a sniff of the WH.
