Rep. Joe Wilson - R (SC) should not be seated for President Obama's SOTU
address unless he is gagged, his hands tied behind his back and he wears a dunce cap.

3. it is posts like these that make us look foolish
Wilson created more good than bad, by acting like a fool.
Sure, the teabagger crowd might find him to be heroic, but the rest of the country was not amused.

And frankly, our treatment of a president as royalty is just plain wrong. We need a dose of more open discussions, like the British PMs and their parliament. It is called the executive branch, not the royal leader branch. presidents are human. What Bush did, by demanding that some one stand before asking a question, and insisting on "Mr. President" smacks too much of royalty.

9. I've a feeling Joe Wilson has a lot of fans on DU.
You'll notice there's little difference between Joe Wilson and some DUers.

13. Except Joe Wilson has a job
Of course it might be the only job he's qualified for, I doubt "Republican congressman" has a high bar to meet...

21. Wilson created good? His behavior wouldn't be acceptable in any setting, except
maybe a bar.

5. He's been reprimanded by the majority in Congress..
not all(some thought it was a waste of time) but he got the hell out of there and apologized on the phone to Rahm and the President accepted..so I'm guessing this joe wilson will keep his stupid mouth shut this time.

We'll see won't we?

10. Wilson raised $2.7M during less than 30 days following the incident.
I'm pretty sure he doesn't regret what he did.

If they interrupt Pres. Obama should stop and the whole of Congress should turn around, cross their arms and stare at the till they stop.
