WHY WHY WHY!!! did he not mention how the GOP has prevented his security agency appointments! WHY!!!! ..... maybe this was setting the stage and he'll do that tomorrow? Grrrrr .... (see, I get aggravated with him from time to time too. At least once every 365 days.)

Speaking for the second day in a row from Hawaii about the Christmas terror plot, President Obama said a “system failure has occurred” within the intelligence community that should have shared information on a “known extremist.”

“I consider that totally unacceptable,” he said.

Obama demanded “accountability on every level” as reviews he ordered are under way, and he did not play down the seriousness of what happened. “Our security is at stake, and lives are at stake,” he said.

9. I think the key phrases were .....

"a review to be delivered to my office by Thursday..... I'm committed to working with Congress .... the information was not effectively distributed... other information was missed .... system out of date... (does NOT place blame on the lower level folks in the CIA and other security admins, applauds their hard work) ... the personnel I have in place did their job (paraphrased) .... we need to act quickly to fix the flaws in our system... I will insist on accountability at every level"

What *I* think is about to happen is that he will first make it clear that a thorough investigation has taken place (there he goes with that "dithering" again lol) and then will conclude that PART of the problem was that the agencies in question were not adequately staffed. That way he states the obvious without it seeming like he was doing so for political reasons.

Something is up .... that's for sure.

hello)))))))))))))))))) either it was wrong to complain about Bush or it's wrong not to complain about Obama now, staying in Hawaii during this situation. (personally, in this day and age, you can be linked in no matter where you are, so I'm not going to criticize him for staying in Hawaii, however I must say be consistent!)
