Port an Prince, Apr 8.- A little Haitian girl today walks almost normally but without forgetting that she was about to lose one feet, to which a Cuban physiotherapist devoted special care. During the January 12 quake, Daisan was playing in her house when a piece of ceiling fell over her right leg.

That day, Cuban physiotherapist Leonel Diaz Bazan was returning to his house in Santiago de Cuba, without imagining that few days later his story would join to that of a Haitian girl.

When arriving in Port au Prince, Diaz was assigned to La Paz Hospital. Few days later, he was caught by the eyes of a girl whose mother carried in arms for the first physiotherapy session.

Those were very hard days for the Cuban, who provided assistance to up to 40 people daily. However, he could not forget Daisan. "I liked her since I first saw her. Her eyes told me she was a special girl. ".

She could hardly walk, and shortly after the first sessions she immediately identified with Diaz.

"She says I am her Cuban father, and my children her siblings. At first, I offered her candies, now she is the one who brings them," he said with affection. (PL).

The horrors!

3. Impressive. Isn't it?
Despite their own tribulations, Cubans are willing to share their very last to persons in need.
