Evo heading for a smashing, landslide re-election

Latest poll gives Evo 55 percent. His new term will end in 2015.

Manfred Reyes Villa, Evo's opponent, lags about 36/37 points behind Morales with only 18 percent.

Election is this coming Sunday (Dec. 6) and Evo is virtually assured of a first-round victory according to poll published today by mainstream La Paz newspaper La Razon. Evo has a 36-37 point margin over his opponent.

Reyes Villa is a controversial former governor of Cochabama province who a couple of years ago called for autonomy of the province. He was also involved in the Water War in Cochabamba in 2000 when a Bechtel company called for a tax on rain water. He was forced to resign in 2007 as Cochabamba governor after corruption charges were filed against him

Morales has repeatedly called for a massive turnout so his MAS party can obtain a majority in the Plurinational Legislative Assembly so the new Constitution can be passed with its 100 new proposed laws that were approved by referendum in January of this year.

1. Such very good news. Hope Evo Morales will be safe from harm from now to the election
and forever after that.

Hope their goals for a progressive Assembly will be realized.

Manfred Reyes Villa is a brutal racist clown. Hope he will take a total political beating this time. He has done more than enough damage to the people of his country. He has NOTHING good to offer.

Thank you, rabs.
