Vice president punched in riot
Vice president punched in riot

Supporters of ousted President Manuel Zelaya clashed with police in the Honduran capital and some of them attacked the second-ranking member of Congress.

Protesters threw stones and police responded with tear gas to disperse the crowd in Tegucigalpa.

A group of demonstrators kicked and punched Ramon Velazquez, vice president of Congress, as he left his office, but he said he wasn't hurt.

"Soldiers rescued me from the assailants. They didn't do me much harm," Mr Velazquez said.

Ramón Velázquez Nazar

"Nazar" is the name of one of the
10 most powerful Honduran families.
Figures!

2. Looks as if he's a little windy, doesn't it? Either he's so much tougher than you'd think,
or, since they didn't hurt him, they also DIDN'T KICK AND PUNCH HIM.

Something strange about these coup people.

3. He might be vacillating and got a warning.
But, what was he doing out there in the first place?

4. It's possible he was the one who was yelling insults at them. One of them did,
saw it in an article several hours ago.

It doesn't seem sensible for one of the coup politicians to sashay out anywhere NEAR the people who are protesting his coup in the first place.

He's lucky he didn't get dinged by a misplaced rock.

7. I stand corrected.
"president of the Congress, Sr. Nasser, provoked demonstrators by saying very derogatory things to them"

8. Just looked at the list, see Freddy Nasser is in banking (Grupo Terra)
and a boatload of energy companies.

No doubt these Nassers would be Ramon Velasquez Nasser's mother's family, considering all the money's owned by these 10 families.
