Telesur TV: Golpistas Issue Order for Capture of Members of
the constitutional government, that is, Zelaya's government. I saw this briefly at the bottom of the screen and am waiting to hear more.

1. Telesur TV: The coup president, Michelletti, is traveling around Tegucigalpa

in a helicopter to avoid protesters. Protesters are setting up many barricades. Will add more shortly.

2. More and More Military troops are lining the streets, pictures show
lots and lots of military personnel transport trucks lined up taking off frequently.

who are on the outer edges of the Presidential Palace area. Also tanks. Telesur says expecting tough repression.

AND, I now hear they have water trucks to give the demonstrators the ultimate shower.

More and more demonstrators arriving and more and more military.

9. Amb. of Venezuela to UN Read ALBA Statement Signed in Managua Yesterday
We demand the immediate return of rule of law and Zelaya restored to power. This is a coup and we do not want the armed forces to cause bloodshed. We declare that our gov'ts. do not recognize any other leader other than Zelaya. We demand that there not be violence. Condemn the secuestro of Cuba, Ven, Nic, The Armed Forces must resepect the dignity of life. D'Escoto expresses solidarity with the people of Honduras. No pasaron, no volveran.

A special emergency meeting of the UN General Assembly is underway. Normally, by now, the UN Security Council would be in session.
