President Lula da Silva held up his part of the conversation admirably. He was GREAT.

God forbid some of these lame-o's would break down and spend some time finding out how they got to be so wildly off-track. Too many trips to the Heritage Foundation, apparently!

President Lula was splendid, completely cordial, generous, kind. What the hell happened to the OTHER guy? Dirty bastard.

Thanks, EFerrari. That was extremely interesting. It was also good to hear someone from the corporate media giving us a look at a propaganda pushing idiot in action.

To renew the question other DU'ers have been asking: Why did the media sit on their hands for EIGHT YEARS during the _Bush occupation, the American Dark Ages? They fell all over themselves easing his way into a filthy, murderous war against innocent people, they allowed him to shred our constitution, degrade the quality of life for us all, and enrich his filthy confederates at the expense of the entire world. They spread the lies he and his people planted, sometimes for actual salaries.
They rejoiced as the country went to hell. They couldn't have been more accomodating, more conciliatory, less confrontational.

Now that we've got a tremendous person as the President, they are hell bound to control him, breathing down his neck, and trying to set his agenda for him. #### these guys.

4. Zacharia is usually pretty good. It was like watching his evil twin!

I was very surprised by him in this interview. Lula is wonderful. No matter how dumb his interviewer, it was nice to be able to watch him in action.

5. He handled that interview so well. His gracious manner, his personal assurance

wears very well. He's strong, but not personally interested in proving anything. He's not hostile, unlike some Presidents we've seen.

Thanks for your observation on Zacharia. It was stunning when he started off on that tangent: totally ignorant, exactly as if he had suddenly been seized by a demon!
