8. LOL! :) I haven't come up with a new name either
If I don't have Biden in my avatar or sig, people mistake me for JoeLie or Joe the Plumber - plus I'd rather have a less specific name, and one not as long. the other Joes may fade into obscurity though.

11. I guess it is a bit long
being we usually refer to you as JIOOU!

I hadn't thought of Lieberman and Joe the Plumber. Definitely don't want that kind of confusion.

13. People sometimes refer to me as Joe and I started to feel like
I should explain that MY name isn't Joe, but then I realize, oh, they're just abbreviating! :dunce:

23. I have a funny "Joe" story.
When my mother met my step-father (I was six) he introduced himself as Joe Martin. It was a couple of months later, when asked my mom to meet his family, that he told her his real name. She almost dumped him, but she went ahead & met his family. They were a big, huge, wonderful family! I sometimes think she married the family more than him. Anyway, as a result, she & I called him Joe. She eventually started calling him by his real name, but to me he was always "Joe." When we went out to eat, he would give Martin as our last name. ;) It pleased him that I always got such a kick out of that.
