I hope to post some news items about Biden's event in Des Moines - took terrible pics (and again didn't get one with me and JRB) - but his speech was what we all want to hear. PURE POLICY - PURE WHAT WE WANT TO SEE IN OUR VP - he told the crowd where he and President Obama want to take our county (and how they want to get us there).

Oh, and did I tell ya??? I GOT KISSED BY JOE BIDEN!!!! :loveya:

I can't imagine how I'd feel - more excited than when I got Ringo's autograph, I know that at least.

How large was the crowd -- and did they LOVE him?

2. Crowd was about 1,200 - which was pretty good considering that the time/location

was cemented late Friday/early Saturday. Of COURSE they loved him. In fact many in the crowd were Biden staff/volunteers from the caucuses and we were all giddy to meet up again (Biden's 'body man' came out from behind the curtain and got a round of applause from staffers & many of us grabbed him to take pictures with him!! - yes I got one b/c he's such a sweetie). Biden called out to people he knew all throughout the speech and even went down off the stage to hug people he saw in the crowd. Mr. Debi said he couldn't remember the last time he so enjoyed attending an event. He just loved Biden's speech!

And yes, JOE BIDEN KISSED ME :*!! (and hugged Mr. Debi and hugged Debi, Jr....but he KISSED ME!!!) :rofl: whooopie!!!

I stayed seated and behaved myself....but yes, I was wearing stilettos...navy blue, the same shade as JRB's blazer...heh heh. :P

7. Yeah, a girlfriend of mine was there covering the event for her blog

she did great family interviews w/Jill, Beau, Hunter, Val.... (and we got to eat dinner w/JRB and crew after that event...that ran LOOOOOOONG b/c EVERYONE there wanted time w/Senator Biden and he always, always gave anyone who wanted a few minutes that time). God he is awesome.

He talked today about Iowans who were affected by the tornados and the floods and that he and Sen. Obama have made a promise to Sen. Tom Harkin that they will vote to help Iowa. Which of course got a loud cheer. We're used to Tom Harkin (and my Congressman Bruce Braley and others just that Braley is from Waterloo) actually listening to our concerns and then working to help us...many states don't have such great members of Congress. Biden has basically adopted Iowa as his own and giving us the same treatment he gives Delaware and Harkin gives us. WOW!!

We we're planning on going but things fell into place and threw Debi Jr. in the car and off to Des Moines we went. Two wonderful staff members got Debi Jr. great seats and JRB was SO COOL!! Read the articles above. It's awesome to watch him give McCain/Palin the old ONE-TWO!!

30. Nope...and the first part is a little cut up...he actually mentioned my husband

when talking about the tornados and floods (he was looking right at him). We were sitting to the left of him so every time he goes over that way and looks down he looked at Debi Jr. and Mr. Debi.
