1. Joe "slice & dice" Biden at his best ! He draws blood with his tongue, doesn't he?
Edited on Fri May-30-08 01:48 PM by The Village Idiot
The fact that he (Obama) has only gone to Iraq once I don't find a compelling argument about (his) judgment being somehow less informed," Mr. Biden said. "Look at John (McCain) - he has been there maybe as much as I have and his judgment on Iraq is a disaster.

6. I was going to post that excerpt here!
Did you guys read the last paragraphs of the article? Joe saying he'd speak face to face with the nominee about being VP -- asking to his/her face to level with him.

AND!!! (this is the first I've heard THIS!)

If he was asked to be VP, he'd have to say yes!!!

9. toldya there were interesting nuggets in there...
didn't he say something about just ask me don't hint when he gave that talk at CFR a few months back? I remember him saying things about... I REALLY don't want to be VP, but would have to consider it if the nominee convinced me it would help them win in the general... or something like that.

We may need to revisit the Q&A at the end of that CFR talk!

10. Yeah - he said something like that.
Maybe the idea's growing on him.

And as somebody said, and somebody posted a reminder (about Schweitzer, not Joe) -- they always say they don't want the job, but they always say yes if they're asked.

4. My wish is that Biden would take Obama to Iraq.
I posted this out there too.

Since this is the new goper talking point, Biden could help Obama get thru this.

As we know, Biden knows alot of insiders in Iraq. He could arrange a meeting with them to sit down with Obama. Obama would get the real inside facts on Iraq, not the fluff that McCain hears when he is over there. Then Obama would be able to come back and better take on McCain's bs.

Biden should also take Obama to Afghanistan - the forgotten war.

Downside would be another trip to Iraq for Biden; and the amount of security Obama would require.

7. He'd sure learn a hell of a lot more with Joe than with McCain --
although the article says Joe doesn't really see a need for it.

8. Wise man!
"He has asked me to play a more prominent role – not in an administration, in the campaign – meaning would I be more available, would I travel with him occasionally, and I said once he gets the nomination, if he gets the nomination, then I'll do whatever he wants," Mr. Biden, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, told The Washington Times yesterday in an interview. "I'll do whatever he asks me to do."

11. This is why I love Biden----
From the article:

"The fact that he has only gone to Iraq once I don't find a compelling argument about judgment being somehow less informed," Mr. Biden said. "Look at John - he has been there maybe as much as I have and his judgment on Iraq is a disaster."

No one can say it like Joe :P

14. Adding on:
snip..

He lambasted Mr. McCain's market "stroll" in 2007, when he emphasized how safe Iraq was and did not mention he was protected by dozens of troops during his walk.

===
It's the perfect time to start spreading this:
