To: mdittmar
Biden would have been the dems best candidate. Glad they passed him over.

1. It makes me want to cry.
Especially with McCain as their candidate.
Biden would have had no problem putting him in his place.

I am really worried about the dems losing the election right now.

3. You can join in my fantasy about a brokered convention where Biden
will be the savior of the Democratic Party.

The way things are going - who knows what'll happen?

4. yep, too bad people didn't want to think strategically
From all those online quizzes my beliefs would probably come closest to Kucinich's. And sure I'd love to have something other than a white man in office too. But for me it came down to two things (1) who can definitely get elected in the real world in November (2) who can fix the problem in Iraq first and then move on to work on the rest.

Sigh...

I assume you've seen this one? (Brooks and Shields on PBS talking about Biden)

5. Yes! I LOVE that video!
My choice came down to who I trusted and who I believed and who walked their talk, PLUS the reasons you cite.

I don't mean to sound like a doe-eyed devotee, but he was just about perfect in EVERY area. A once in a lifetime opportunity for our country.

:(

6. Both of you are right.
You both have the same reasons I had for supporting Joe. Trust may be the biggest of all for me. I don't even feel anywhere close to the same with these last two nominees.

I am worried..........I will support the nominee. I can't even imagine 4 more years of the crap we have put up with. I see McCain only continuing the same policies.

8. Thank you!!
This place seems sort of like a safe haven.....of sanity......:toast:

At least a person can have an adult conversation here. That seems to be in limited supply in other places around this site.
