1. I liked the "idea" of a caucus
but after Iowa I realized there were many downsides. I've heard stories from other caucuses that resemble Iowa.

2. 60 day cut off

Colorado is one of only a few that has a 60 day cut off... that is you have to be a registered whatever to participate in a particular party's Caucus.
I think that eliminated any Rushing or tilting of the results.

the unintended consequence was it made my neighborhood a more friendly and hospitable place. Between BOTH Obama and Hillary supporters.

5. yeah i never thought it would do what it has...
as the caucus site Coordinator, 633 of my Democratic neighbors now know who I am. I get "Howdy Neighbor" or "Hello Fred" at 7-11, safeway, the bar.. waves from people at the stop lights. it is incredible. the other day we had some chinnok winds. all the yard signs ended up in the Gultch (Harvard park) all mixed together. the neighborhood kids went door to door of the houses that still had wires in their front yards. and put signs back. it did not matter whom they were for.

6. That is so cool
I wonder how many other communities were affected like that.

4. They both have their plusses -- for example, the "bonding" experience
you mention, but I think in the big pic, a primary is more fair to everyone. The voters AND the candidates.

If I weren't as interested in politics as I've become, I think I'd be more inclined to go to a primary -- just easier.
