1. Sorry, hw. Haven't got much time for an apology.

The thrift shop opens soon ... or is it the recycling shed at the dump . . . anyway, gotta go.

4. I just bought this today.
My husband thinks I'm obsessed. He's probably right. Altho, I did delete the Ronco Veg-o-Matic from why watch list. LOL

5. My primary rule is no Internet thrift shopping. I don't allow myself
to buy unless I have to physically move my carcass out of the house, into the car and down to the store. So far it's not a deterrent. It's snowing again today and I'm off to the recycling shed at the dump. Saturday my husband dragged home a set of Pyrex casserole dishes with covers that look like they'd never been used!

7. so the two of you could fight over the Pyrex?
I'd pay money to see that.

It could be a new reality TV show.

9. I think I should take up winter residence at your house.
Our swap shed closes for the winter. It is now going to be open only one day a week after many problems. Severe withdrawal here.

shopgoodwill.com is fun but has now become so popular that the old, real bargains (the "steals") are few and far between. Still fun to look. I am too overwhelmed by e-bay. I was going to try and sell some stuff there but I put all of it in a big box in the attic. I'm not going to give the stuff away and I'm afraid much of what I have seems to appear there too often and brings no $$$.
Things like ornate Silver from the turn of the century seems to get no money. Too much of it.

10. I do that regularly
I browse and bookmark, and then the next day I shrug and forget to watch the items. Prices are high -- too high for pickers/dealers. There are a lot of things there I would buy if the price was right.

Tomorrow I am going to the local goodwill. But it sure takes the fun out of it to know that the best things have been skimmed off already for the web site.
