I find it hard to believe that people still think that Iraq attacked us on 9/11!

Was at the post office buying 2 cent stamps and two dudes were discussing the 19 soldiers killed the past couple of days. These two dude were apalled by what is happening and were condemning the administration when this woman interjected saying "The president is just keeping you safe and you cant appreciate that? They attacked us on 9/11. REMEMBER?" Most of us in line just turned and looked at her with a puzzlement. One of the dudes then spouted out "Who attacked us? Iraq? Or bin Laden? They are not the same you know. Saddam and bin Laden are NOT the same person." Then the woman tried to say something but swallowed it almost immeadiately. She knew that she was DEAD WRONG! One of the dudes tried to bait her into another debate and she just clammed up and ignored them for the rest of her time on line.
Did she think that most people havent figured that out yet?
Or is that all that they have?
Are people just stupid?

Considering "most of us in line just turned and looked at her," it sounds like "people" in general aren't that stupid, but we still have to deal with the 28-percenters who I think aren't necessarily stupid but have serious mental issues. After all, "she knew she was dead wrong," and yet I'm sure all she took from that experience was that she made the mistake of talking with a bunch of "liberals" around (anyone who doesn't accept the Leader's word is by definition a liberal, don't you know?).

I've run in to quite a few of those Bushbots, too, and to me it's amazing how quickly people who are so sure that they are right and are so quick to whip out one of their talking points just clam up when they're challenged even slightly.
