Wolfowitz gives first interview since resignation
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=252142

Outgoing World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz says he was forced to quit because emotions had got out of control.

Wolfowitz has defended his two years in office, saying he was proud of his achievements and had few regrets, but emotions had boiled over on his girlfriend's promotion.

Following weeks of pressure over the generous pay and promotion package he had arranged for his girlfriend Shaha Riza, a bank employee, Wolfowitz stepped down.

In an interview with BBC World Service radio, Wolfowitz was asked about his relationship with the bank and the calls from current and former bank staff for him to resign.

'I think it tells us more about the media than about the bank and I'll leave it at that,' he said.

1. That guy has caused more harm to this world than all the mass murderers

2. No sense of ethics, no moral compass, no conscience.
Wolfowitz epitomizes what's wrong with the whole crew running this country.
