For God's Sake-just ask Dresden or Kurt Vonnegut.

1. I'm wondering why the ad execs didn't come clean earlier?
Their move to put the Moonite props up was stupid, but funny only in retrospect.

2. The props had been up for two weeks.
They "came clean" as soon as they heard there was a problem.

3. W has tried his best to turn us into fearbots
Homeland Security is a joke.

Do we run or laugh? I think the odds are that we should laugh in these instances.

OBL shot his wad on 9/11. There isn't anything else as much as W would love it.

4. People minimizing the effect of this...
really don't get it.Cartoon characters on all the devices quickly convinced the authorities that it was in fact SOME UNKNOWN COORDINATED CAMPAIGN....those who have shown pictures of the devices have scoffed and implied it was obviously too small to cause damage (IE:not large enough to contain enough explosive to cause "real" damage)without considering it easily could have fit a small amount of explosive as a means of dispersal, plus a biological agent. In short it truly could have been a real threat.Ex post facto admissions that they had been hung much earlier could certainly never enter into the emergency responders consideration-they didn't know...And finally, for the residents it was not merely an "inconvenience"-it was an unknown threat that paralized portions of the city and disrupted millions of residents. So while it is easy to laugh, as I have seen multiple posters do,I am forced to ask, "Who are the morons???".

6. Yes...
and as I explained above the reaction was forward from the moment they were found...not retroactive to when they were placed.
